WordPress Maintenance Plans

Wordpress needs to be updated regularly to ensure it remains secure against hackers. We highly recommend a Wordpress Maintenance Plan where we routinely check your website for required updates.
When we set up a new maintenance plan, we do the following:

Configure Automatic Backups

Install a local backup tool, take an initial backup, and configure automatic backups.

Vulnerable Plugin Checker

Install a ‘Vulnerable Plugin’ checker which alerts us to any high priority updates required for plugins.

Advanced Security Plugin

Install iThemes Security Pro – an advanced security plugin design to minimize the chance of your site being hacked.

Weekly Plan for Critical Websites

Every week we will login to the backend of the website, and check for available updates to Wordpress or the installed plugins. If any need an update, we will implement these updates and perform some basic testing to ensure they have not impacted the website. If we receive a ‘Vulnerable Plugin’ alert, we will implement an upgrade as soon as possible (usually within 1 business day).

Advanced Automatic Updates

Install advanced automatic updates and notifier for updates.

Speed up site with Caching

Install WP Rocket – a caching plugin that speeds up the frontend of your website.

Update WordPress to latest version

Initial update to the latest version of WordPress.

Yearly Plan for Simple Websites

WordPress releases approximately 4 major core updates per year. When a major update is released, we will login to your site, perform a site backup, perform all updates, and perform some basic testing to ensure they have not impacted the website. If we receive a ‘Vulnerable Plugin’ alert, we will implement an upgrade when we can (usually within 3 business days).
